  • Council Annual Recognition Banquet – February 27th, 6:00 PM, Obrien Hall, Commemorative Air Force – Join Volunteers from across the Buffalo Trail Council in recognizing our newest Silver Beaver recipients – Mark Hooper and Robbie Sheppard!  Also being recognized is the Eagle Class of 2009.  Banquet tickets are only $25 if purchased by February 19th and $30 thereafter.  Download and print a registration form or call Jana at the Buffalo Trail Council office at 570.7601.

  • Pow Wow Weekend & Family Campout – March 12-14, Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch – Tatanka Lodge 141 presents to all Scouts and their families, the annual Pow Wow and Family Campout!  The BB Gun Corral, Hiking, Archery, Campfires, Horseback Riding, and tons of fun await you and your families at this exciting annual event!  Cost is $20 per person before March 1st, and $30 thereafter, but hurry, space is limited to the first 325 participants!  Click here to download a registration form and more information on what to bring, or here to register for Pow Wow online!

  • 12th Annual Spring Fling Sporting Clays – April 17th, Windwalker Farms – The Buffalo Trail Council welcomes your support by participating in the annual sporting clay tournament!  More information including sponsorships, team registration, prize information and more will be available soon.  Click here to download a reminder notice  and here to download the brochure with registration and sponsorship information.

  • BTSR Work Weekends – Weekends of April 30th and May 28th – Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch – Join volunteers from across the council at Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch for one or both of the BTSR Work Weekends.  These weekends are open for all adult leaders interested in lending their expertise to help prepare one of the greatest camps in the nation for a summer of fun and excitement!  We need electricians, welders, carpenters, painters, and just general help for projects of all kinds!  Click here to download a reminder flyer and be on the lookout for more information and a list of projects and supplies needed very soon!

  • Cub Scout Day Camp 2010 - It's never too early to begin planning for summer fun! Join Cub Scouts from across the council at one of the four summer day camps available. Come to one, or come to them all, it's up to you! Big Bend District is June 12th, Comanche Trails is June 14th - 16th, Chaparral is June 21st - 23rd, and Lone Star is on June 19th.   • 2010 National Jamboree – The Buffalo Trail Council is sending two Troops of Scouts from all over the 18 county area to the 2010 National Scout Jamboree in Ft. AP Hill Virginia. This will be an exciting opportunity to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Scouting, tour the Nation's Capitol, and enjoy an experience that will never be forgotten.   • Weekend Cavalcades at BTSR - So you hiked the Scout Ranch, and all you saw was your own boots? Come see BTSR from the back of horse! Let HIM watch HIS feet while you enjoy the scenery! Two- or three-day horseback treks called cavalcades take off on select dates in the spring and fall for the roughest and prettiest parts of the Scout Ranch. Participants get plenty of quality saddle time during the day and sleep “under the stars” at night. Click here for more information (PDF document), including dates, costs and in-council discounts!

  • 15th Annual Snyder Fish-A-Thon – April 10th, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Towle Park Pond, Snyder TX – It’s time to wet a hook and see who can catch the biggest fish of the day!  The 15th Annual Snyder Fish-A-Thon is a perfect opportunity to gather your Scouts and their families for this great event.  Towle Park pond will be stocked with hundreds of fish, a $1,000 worth of prizes will be up for grabs, and hundreds of people from all over will be there to try and win it all! Scouts are encouraged to camp with their Troops and families are encouraged to participate, as it will be fun for all.
