Camping: Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch & High Adventure Camp
Weekend Camping: Fees

Buffalo Trail Council, BSA Units:

  • No per capita fee for short term tent camping. All fees below apply.

Out of Council BSA Units:

  • Pay $1.00/person/night, in addition to applicable fees below.

For All BSA Units:

  • Buffalo Hall - $1.00/person/night + $25.00 per trip building use fee

  • Mattresses are included in fee, but may not leave the interior of the building. Sleeping on the porch constitutes using the building, requires payment of fee. No cooking inside.

  • Staff Huts (each) - $1.00/person/night + $20.00 per trip building use fee/ Mattresses are included in fee, but may not leave the interior of the building. No cooking inside.

  • *Camp Director Residence - $1.00/person/night + $35.00 per DAY building use fee

  • *Bunkhouse $1.00/person/night + $100.00 per DAY building use fee

  • *Health Lodge Upper - $1.00/person/night + $100.00 per DAY building use fee

  • *Health Lodge Lower - Not Available Without Scout Executive Approval

  • *Mess Hall - $1.00/person/night + $200.00 per DAY building use fee. Sleepers allowed only in cook's quarters of mess hall.

*Adults only allowed to stay in these buildings. Daily fee assessed if building is occupied by all or part of group between 12:01 am and 11:59 pm of any day.

Pool, Rifle Range, Archery Range, Handicraft Hut, Program Hardware associated with those areas, and Climbing Gear available only with special approval from Council Scout Executive.

Non-BSA Groups:

Fees are double the Out of Council BSA unit rates listed above. Non-BSA groups must also:

  1. Apply at least one month in advance of intended use,

  2. Provide at time of application, proof of liability insurance with the Buffalo Trail Council, BSA,

  3. Pay a refundable $200.00 damage deposit to the Council office at time of application,

  4. Provide a properly filled out Hold Harmless form (available at Council office)

  5. If riding horseback while at the ranch, bring to BTSR properly completed Equine Activity Hold-Harmless form for each rider, with parental consent for each minor child.

Fees at the Scout ranch (except damage deposit) must be paid to ranger at BTSR at time of use. All rules pertaining to Boy Scouts apply to non-BSA groups also. Buildings and camping areas must be left cleaner than found.
