Do you want to have fun with friends, play team sports, and camp? Then finding out more about Cub Scouts is the first step!

ACTIVITIES

Cub Scouting is an active program. Everything we do is designed to have boys participating in active learning. Activities happen at weekly den meetings and monthly pack meetings as well as right at home with family members. They are designed to be fun and to achieve the aims of Scouting - citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness.

CUB SCOUT SPORTS AND ACADEMICS

The Cub Scout Sports and Academics program provides the opportunity for boys to learn new techniques, develop sportsmanship, increase scholarship skills, and have fun. Participation in the program allows boys to be recognized for physical fitness and talent-building activities.

CAMPING

Age-appropriate camping programs are packed with theme-oriented action that brings Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts into the world of imagination. From day camps to overnight camps, all Scouting programs and facilities are designed to match each boy’s interests and experience levels. Camping programs combine fun and excitement with doing one's best, getting along with others, and developing an appreciation for the environment and the world of the outdoors.

HOW TO JOIN

Your son can join Cub Scouts by attending a rally being held at his school, or a school of your choice! The schedule for the fall rallies is listed below. If you cannot make it to the school rally, boys can still have the opportunity to join! Call the Buffalo Trail Council at 432-570-7601 and you will be put in touch with a leader that will help you get signed up!
