Meeting Schedule
District Committee meets on the first Thursday of Each month excluding June & July. The meeting is from 6:00pm to 6:45 at the Midland Scout office. In January we will be having our annual District Banquet instead of regular meeting!
District Commissioners meets on the second Thursday of Each month excluding June & July. The meeting is from 7:00pm to 8:00 at the Midland Scout office. In January we will be having our annual District Banquet instead of regular meeting!
Order of the Arrow, Chaparral Chapter will be meeting on the second Thursday of each month, excluding June & July. The meeting is from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at the Midland Scout office.
District Cub Roundtable meets on the second Thursday of each month excluding June & July at the Midland Scout Service Center at 7:00pm. The address is 1101 W. Texas. Den Leaders this is a Great Training opportunity for you to get some ideas for your next months program.
District Boy Scout and Venturing Roundtables meet on the second Thursday of each month excluding June & July at 7:00pm. This meeting is at the First Presbyterian Church at 7:00pm. The church is located at 800 W. Texas Ave.
Note: Any changes due to holidays will be announced on this website, at roundtables, in the tracks and in any mailings to district committee members.
Roundtables meet together in December for annual Christmas Party at the Midland Scout Service Center, 1101 W. Texas, at 7:00pm.

- Chaparral Pinewood Derby – April 5th, Midland Park Mall – Racers, start your engines! It is time for the annual Chaparral District Pinewood Derby Race! Come to the mall and see who has the fastest car in the district. Registration is only $2 and will enter you in the races as well as the judging for the many appearance categories. Also, you will get to see a REAL dragster from the Kent & Pennzoil racing team right there in the mall! Click here for more information and a registration form and here for the race rules. - District Training - For unit leaders and parents is held on the second Thursday every month @ 7pm at the Midland Scout Office. Take this opportunity to learn more about your position in Scouting! Also, check out the Training Page to complete some online courses!
- Good Turn for America – Please log your hours for all service hours that your unit and scouts perform. Please log on to the following site: www.goodturnforamerica.org for more information.
- The District is continuing to search for volunteers to help us grow and improve the programs for all the scouts in Midland and Martin Counties.
