 Financing Scouting: Popcorn Sales
Each fall the council coordinates a unit fundraiser where the scouts sell popcorn to friends, family and neighbors. The unit and the scouts receive approximately 45% of sales in the form of profit, commission and prizes. The council retains approximately 25% of the gross sales AFTER paying for prizes, commissions and the actual product. Approximately 30% goes to the popcorn company for the product, supplies and support.

- Show-N-Sell Tips – Learn some great selling tips that will help you make money off of your leftover popcorn. Don’t let it go to waste!

- Click here if your unit wants to sell popcorn to help raise to fund your Ideal Year of Scouting! Download the form, fill in the blanks, and submit it to the Buffalo Trail Council ASAP. Or, attend the kick off on August 28th and turn it in there!
- Popcorn Mystery Scout Program – If your Popcorn & Join Cub Scouting yard sign is spotted by the mystery Scout, you win a prize! To pick up your yard signs, contact your District Executive, or come by the Midland Scout Office. For more information, download the Mystery Scout Flyer!
- 2009 Sale – Unit Feedback Form - Help us provide the best fundraising experience possible for your unit! Fill out this form and submit to the Buffalo Trail Council by December 9th, 2009. Thanks for your feedback!
