BALOO/ IOLS Training

BALOO/ IOLS training is being offered this year  at Camp Thomas in Big Spring.

This training is required for at least two leaders on any overnight event for Cub Scout Packs (BALOO) and Scouts BSA Troops (IOLS). This training will cover the essentials for planning and executing any camping experience, emphasizing safety, organization, Scout skills and running a fun and challenging event for your Scouts.

Participants are asked to wear their “Class A” uniform. Participants should bring: a compass, pocket knife, mess kit, flashlight, water bottle, coffee cup, sunscreen, medication(s), tent, sleeping bag and clothing for cool nights and warm days.

Training is made up of two parts, an online course available on my.scouting.org and inperson, hands-on course. Please have the online course completed before attending the in-person course.

The registration fee is 35 dollars which will include food, printed supplies and materials.
